Oilers Look to Even Series in Game 2 of Stanley Cup Final

Edmonton Oilers vs. Florida Panthers at Rogers Place - 8:00 PM ET

The Edmonton Oilers will look to earn a split of the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final when they face the Florida Panthers in Game 2 at Rogers Place on Wednesday night.

The Panthers stole home-ice advantage with a 4-3 overtime victory in Game 1 on Monday night, but the Oilers are confident they can bounce back in front of their home crowd.

"We know we can play better," Oilers captain Connor McDavid said after Game 1. "We just need to execute a little bit better and make sure we're making the right plays at the right time."

The Oilers will need to find a way to slow down Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov, who had a goal and an assist in Game 1. Barkov leads the playoffs with 23 points in 15 games.

The Oilers will also need to be more efficient on the power play. They went 0-for-4 on the power play in Game 1, while the Panthers went 1-for-4.

Puck drop for Game 2 is set for 8:00 PM ET on Wednesday night. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
